DHCC's Al Jaddaf Phase 2 district now hosts free family health screenings every first Saturday of the month, with walk-in checks and activities for the whole family.

Starting this month, DHCC's Phase 2 district in Al Jaddaf will host free community health screenings on the first Saturday of every month, offering families an easy, no-appointment way to check in on their health together.
Each screening morning offers blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, BMI assessment, and basic vision screening, staffed by volunteer clinicians from DHCC partner facilities. Results are shared on the spot, along with guidance on whether follow-up care is recommended.
Alongside the clinical checks, the events include family-friendly health activities: a kids' corner with hand-washing and nutrition games, short group stretching sessions, and information booths on topics like sleep, screen time, and healthy snacking.
Organisers say the monthly format is intentionally casual, no registration is required and sessions run on a walk-in basis from morning until early afternoon. Interpreters are available on request, and all screenings are offered at no cost as part of DHCC's community outreach programme.
The initiative reflects DHCC's broader push to bring preventive care directly into the community, meeting residents where they live rather than waiting for them to book a clinic visit. Organisers hope the monthly rhythm will help make basic health checks a normal part of family routines.
